Power Chucks

 Manufactured from high-grade alloy steel, all the sliding surfaces of this chuck are hardened and ground for accurate running and long service. Standard hard jaws and soft jaws are provided for chucking the special components. 

The Wedge design of the chuck has a self-locking feature, that prevents accidents and it does not loose its gripping power even at cutting loads. Each base jaw is provided with a lubricating nipple to ensure long and trouble free life.

These chucks are specialy designed & developed to clamp rectanguar components.  As 2 jaw are moving with 1 screw & other 2 are moving with another separate screw. 2 jaw facing each other are moving together & other set is moving together. Like Jaw 1 & 3 moving together with 1st Screw & Jaw 2 & 4 moving together with 2nd Screw. Rectangular Jobs can be clamped very easily. Jaws are designed in L Type so that any kind of fixture can be clamped easily.

It combines the design advantages of both the self-centering and independent chucks. The chucks have both scroll operated jaws and independent jaws which allows non-symmetrical jobs to gripped accurately. The chuck body is made of forged steel while the other parts such as jaws and pinions are made of heat treated carbon steel or case hardened alloy steel.

The selection criteria are:

• The size of the chuck dependent on the capacity/size of the machine.
• The diameter of the chuck should be slightly less than twice the centre height of the machine.

These chucks have larger bore than normal chucks. These are suitable where machine is light and the Job demands larger bore. Operating Key, Mounting Bolts, Allen Key, Tap & Inspection Report is provided with each chuck.

Power Chuck Dust Cover is used to prevent Dust / Iron Chips to go in Chuck Body. Iron Chips / External metallic dust damage the major parts in Power Chuck (Wedge, Body & Base Jaws) which cause Breakage of Chuck Body & its parts. It's always recommended to run Power Chuck with Dust Cover fitted. 

They are designed to rotate at high speed on CNC Lathe. The compact construction offers further advantage of less weight and low inertia which have positive influence on dynamic effect of CNC machine spindle.
